Catching some Codfish every trip - everybody went home with some meat today - nothing thrilling but something to fish for at least. Some guys catching 2 , 3 , or 4 keepers some trips with pool winners ranging from 8 to 20 pounds.
Weather still been tough, when its nice and we get out still picking at Cod and Ling mostly and some trips a few Pollock. Lots of short Cod on some trips Recent catches Hans Falkinhagen Freehold, NJ 3 Cod to 14 lbs and 5 Ling Eric Swanson Wayne NJ 10 Ling and 4 Cod to 10 pounds 12 Hour Wreck trips ---5am till 5 pm every Weds, Sat and Sun and Good Friday April 3 Capt Ryan
Good fishing today for Cod , Ling and Blackfish Pool winner was Chris Molinari No Haledon, NJ 24 pound Cod. Paul Bender had 9 Ling 4 Cod and 3 Taug Chris Mantlick Brick, NJ had 5 Cod and 12 Ling and a limit on Blackfish Weds, Sat, and Sunday 12 hour Wreck trips 5 am- 5 pm Whiting - every Friday 6 am
Not too many Ling yet, should see them soon, but still some honker Porgies, Seabass and a good showing of nice size Codfish. Pool winner was Jaesung Lee Dumont NJ 21 lb Cod Dom Nguyen Phila 4 Cod (8-10 pounders) 1 Pollock and 12 Porgies Jerry and Jeff Shelton Cape May 6 Cod to 17 lbs and 23 Porgies Greg Cooke Westfield 2 Cod to 15 lbs 7 Seabass to 5 1 2 lbs and some Chops Ed Borkowski Bayonne 2 nice Cod a Purple Hake 13 Porgies Bass a few Ling Smattering of Ling around the boat overall not a bad day - some hefty Pout showing fortunately the big congers(silver) were not as plentiful
Sluggish Friday trip just picked some Ling on the deep wrecks but an excellent Saturday trip with GIANT SEABASS and Porgies and a smattering of Cod and Pollock. Trang Jin Ft Lee NJ won the pool with a 38 1 2 lb Cod Sigmund Molis Hamilton NJ was runner up with a 32 lb Pollock Frank and George Elsishans Trenton NJ teamed up for 30 Big Seabass to 6 pounds and 41 Porgies and a 28 lb Cod Wes Shourt Howell NJ had a limit of Seabass to 6 lbs and 40 Porgies Now Wreck trips Weds and Sunday 5 am - 5 pm 14 Hour Wrecks 3 am every Saturday Blackfish Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fridays 7 30 am - 2 30 pm Capt Ryan
