OK with the Seabass today, tons of shorts in some place and bigger ones on other drops. 7 30 am tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday - THEN - Half Day Fluke Seabass starts June 1st with 8 00 am trips drifting for Fluke and Seabass and the 2 00 pm trips fishing strictly Seabass.
Sea Bass 10 fish at 12. 5 from 5 23-6 19, 2 fish at 12. 5 from 7 1-8 31 and 15 fish at 13 from 10 22-12 31. Jamaica II will be Seabass fishing when it opens in May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sluggish fishing again this past weekend, some beauiful weather but just a pick on Cod, Pollock and Blackfish. Large Blackfish have been showing up more on recent trips and we will carry crabs so you have a shot at a huge whitechin. Recent pools Wes Shourt Manahawkin, NJ 14 lb CodXin Chue Hazlet, NJ 16 pound Pollock and a 12 pound Blackfish Still not many Ling showing up in the catches but we expect to see more as we get into March. Herbert James Phila, Pa won the pool with a nice Codfish Weather eases up we should find some good Codfishing on wrecks in 150 - 200 feet of water. Clams have been working best on Cod and Pollock, jigging has not been productive Sailing Weds and Sunday 12 Hour Wreck trips 5 am - 5 pm Saturdays - Codfishing - 14 Hour 3am - 5 pm
Last trips out we caught some Cod, Pollock, Ling and even a few Mackeral. Pool winner on the last trip was Billy Watson Lansdale, Pa with a 19 pound Pollock he also had another Pollock and 2 Cod and 5 Ling.
Huge eels and dogfish were a problem due to the churned up water. Picked a few Cod and Ling Hector Costa Perth Amboy won one pool with a 14 pound Cod and Steven Crane Hazlet, NJ won the other with a 12 pound Cod. Some recent pictures on Facebook page Capt Ryan
Kinda rough out there yesterday, suprising ground swell from something offshore, but we did manage to catch some nice Codfish, big Ling and some left over Porgies and Seabass. Overall most all went home with some nice meat considering the weather.
