Not much in the way of movement early, fisihng was very dull, few keepers here and there but not many and not that many shorts either,A few nice sea bass here and there to,But overall slow for most of the gang onboard,up in the bow though high hook was Nick who did catch his limit of Fluke and split the pool fish with Sammy who had a couple of nice keepers,I think Sammy would of had his limit as well but pulled the hook on some nice fish on the other side of the bow,Pink shine and white colored grubs were the ticket for them. Any way,I like the forecast for tomorrow!!
Eventually we got into an area that held some nice fluke and we started picking at some nice fish. Like I never see that, but anyway it was a nice day and we had some guys do good and we got into some nice fish,,I just wish I could of had more guys do better.
High hook had a limit of fluke plus today,It slowed down a bit so we moved to a different area and late in the day we had good action again with some nice fish coming up. Nick had the high hook today with some nice fish!
then it got kinda dull for a few drifts and we headed up the beach and in the afternoon we found some quality fish in the bigger rocks to the north. The jigs had the advantage for sure,,I had fifteen pound leader on a rig of death and had 3 nice fish in about ten casts.
7-27-14 Capt. Chris said they picked away at the fluke today, high hooks had 2-3 keepers and numerous shorts, drift was quick so it was a little more challenging than yesterday but still they caught some fish, even some of the kids !!!Nice Job Kid!!
Sammy who won the pool yesterday was back today and had his limit of nice fluke by 9 30 this morning. We had others with limits as well, most of the notable catches were all on the jigs, nuclear chicken gulps or glo squidos worked the best today.
