Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing June 19 19 June 2013 Capt. Tom The last few days we have a lot of action. The mates have been doing a good job of helping everyone rig their rig of choice.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing May 30 30 May 2013 Capt. Tom The fluke fishing the last few days has been slow to ok. On some days the gulp and killie combo works better so if you want them you have to stop at a bait shop on the way to the boat.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing May18 18 May 2013 Capt. Tom First fluke trip of the 2013 season was pretty fair considering 61 degree water temp. The pool fish on both trips was in 3 1 2 to 4lb range.
We sailed everyday making both trips (8 am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm) with the exception on Wednesday May 8 am trip(rainy and nasty no people) but the afternoon was great. This week the afternoon trips were better but it is not always the case.
Of course it is not always great but we are catching fish every trip. We are fishing in the ocean and or the bay depending on the conditions and the fish.
It is hard to say to say which trip is the best. Some days the morning trip (8am to 12 30) is better and sometimes the afternoon trip (1 30 to 6pm) is better.
