In total they already have 7 nice longfin and 1 big yellowfin in the boat plus the big sword - a ton of meat for the charter so they started to release fish except for the wahoo. In total they caught 13 big longifn, 1 big yellowfin, the 80 pound wahoo, 175 sword and 10 big mahi.
However, the big bluefin that left the Claw this weekend seem to be back and the 48 is headed down there right now. The 60 was just out on a day trip and went to the Claw Monday late fishing Tuesday and had one yellowfin on the troll, went 1 for 3 on nice wahoo and chunked 3 out of 5 big bluefin in the 60 range.
The bite was not all that hot this morning with only 1 for 3 as of 7 30am and another one being fought. Boats in the canyons are still catching nothing to speak of nor even consider going in that direction.
They started on the troll but as soon as our 48 Canyon Runner got the fish on the drift they switched over and immediately had fish on. In total they brought 14 bluefin to the boat, fought over 20 keeping one 62 inch 120 pound fish and releasing the rest.
The boys are fishing the Lobster Claw today on both boats and go the fish going on the drift this afternoon with the bite starting at 2pm and lasting until 7 30 when I last talk to them. The 48 ' had 7 fish it fought in that time frame keeping a 62 inch fish and releaseing 4.

Fishing Sunday Monday with the Guy Checcio charter and then again Monday Tuesday with the Paul Peddretti charter they covered almost all of the Hudson Canyon and up to the Dip and offshore only to catch a total of one yellowfin on Sunday and one white marlin on Tuesday. Mark DeBlasio was on the 48 Canyon Runner Sunday Monday and again Monday Tuesday with the Fred Quinto and Mike Lilonsky charters respectively and had the exact same results as the 60 except they had a few more shots at marlin on Monday afternoon going 1 for 3 on whites and 0 for 1 on a blue that they pulled the hook on.
