At times the action was very good with the Sea Bass and Ling and we even managed quite a few nice Flounder for our efforts during a couple of our trips. We will be targeting these fish pretty much every day that the weather permits us to drift on my All-Day trips and I would expect that most of our effort will be jigging the structure bottoms of the old grounds unless a good shot of flatties shows up in the Bay so stock up on the Bucktails and the teasers we will be using them.

Fisherman's Wharf Fishing Report Fisherman's Wharf Fishing Report May 29nd 2013 Despite the fact that the best description that I can give our first full week of our Sea Bass season would be a low grade at best, we have actually at times seen some decent fishing, some very nice fish in the mix and for the most part some very happy anglers when they got off of the boat. While I would only give the Sea Bass fishing maybe a high C as a grade without a curve those anglers that were weeding through the countless throwbacks that we have come across at times have been having an absolute blast catching fish and I can honestly say that just about everyone that has fished with me this past week has managed at least a good fresh fish supper or two and in a few cases much more.

Fisherman's Wharf Fishing Report Fisherman's Wharf Fishing Report May 14th 2013 I was a little disappointed for the last full week of the open Tautog season only getting away from the docks a few times but the fishing remained good right up until the end and as far as the fishing in general goes, the decent weather brought out the best week of inshore fishing so far this year. I think we stand a good chance of catching a few nice Flounder before we make the switch once Sea Bass season opens on Sunday.

Fisherman's Wharf Fishing Report Fisherman's Wharf Fishing Report April 30th 2013 We managed to get out four times this past week fishing for the Tautog and our results were anywhere from as good as it gets with limits for everyone on-board to just a mangy pick with some hard running currents that would accompany the full moon tides just in time for the weekend. The Tog fishing has been very good to us so far this year, prior to this past weekend just about every trip that we had made to date had met with limit or near limit catches for the entire boat with some very nice fish.

As with typical Tog fishing action, some lucky or skillful anglers (you know who you are) would excel right out of the gate making short work of an easy limit and throwing fish back while others were trying to figure out why their hooks always came up without the bait that they had just put on.
