Now is the time to get out there and catch those Bass. We are seeing fish daily . . Jigs, Troll , top water . its all working. Looking to book a charter for next year
Starting this Friday, May 23rd the season will open and we will begin sailing daily. There will be two trips on Friday, one at 7 30am and another at 5pm.
Jason Sokol started us off with the first fish of the season, which happened to be a keeper, only ten minutes into the day. It seemed to turn into short fest for the next few hours as 15 to 20 shorts in the 18 to 24 range were caught with an occasional legal sized fish mixed in. We had a moment on the change of tide, and were able to land another 7 keepers, giving us just under a dozen for the day.
We would like to thank everyone who sailed with us in 2013. I wish everyone a happy and healthy winter, and look forward to seeing you all in the spring!
The readings we were seeing on the fish machine showed the porgies off the bottom about 15 feet or so, which is typical after a blow. Once this roll settles the fish with head back to the bottom and start biting like they should.
If you are looking to catch fish and have a good day on the water, now is the time to come down because reality will strike one day and this amazing fishing will have passed by. And finally The last Porgy Standing out of over 1,600 fish that were filleted.
