Al came back today He had one keeper yesterday and three today |
On both trips we did not have very good drifting conditions most of the time. When the conditions improved we did pick at shorts but only a few keepers. All in all not as good as it has been.
Fishing has been slow, I don't lie or sugarcoat a report, we have had plenty of action with short fish and sea robins, which the larger size ones are very good eating, but today was a nice showing of keeper fluke!
Had to bounce around looking for life and eventually found some nice keepers to wanted to eat. End the trip with 13 keepers to 7.5 pounds. We have some availability for charter or open boat fluke trips this coming Thursday, Friday and Sunday, August 1, 2, and 4.
Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the afternoon trip the wind picked up enough to give us good drifting conditions in Sandy Hook Bay. We picked on every drift with good action with the shorts and some keepers.
We hit a few areas today that have been producing, some had some short action but the keepers were far and few between.
It was a real nice day and only a few people showed up but we made both morning and afternoon trips today. On both trips we had good action with shorts with some keepers
