Stripers & Blues Charters

Today, we ran well north of shark river inlet and had some excellent fishing right from the start. There were fish on top along with readings along the bottom. We had numerous fish on at a time with multiple gaffs working at once. The blues ranged anywhere from 4-12 lbs with tailed ava 27’s and 47’s working the best. We saw a few areas of fish on top and also read different areas of fish. This is a great improvement from what is has been so now is a good time to come fishing!

Sorry for the delay in getting the blog out, but I had to stick it out to the last minute at Capt. Bill's Landing in Point Pleasant as boats were backed up to weigh in mako sharks which turned out to be mostly just over the 66-inch minimum length set by the contests. As noted in last night's blog, Water Proof took the first day lead in Mako Mania at 218 pounds, but most boaters held back for Sunday's great forecast.
