A northeast wind created a lumpy ocean and poor bottom fishing. The Ocean Explorer from Belmar reported relatively few bites and just a few keeper and short tog under those conditions. Fortunately, a switch to northwest should improve bottom fishing. Both the Ocean Explorer and the Big Mohawk plan to sail for blacks in the morning.
