4/25/17: Only two days left for the boat to sail for blackfish this coming weekend. After that, we sit at the dock and paint until May 26! Then every day for sea bass ! What a shame this weekend we threw back some beautiful sea bass! Can't explain how it feels to throw a fresh fish dinner back, not good! But get over it. Saturday was suppose to be the nice day; it wasn't. But we did OK with a nice 8.5-lb pool-winner caught by the blackfish whisperer himself, Bob Pianetti of Manahawkin, NJ.

On Sunday, which was the nice day (they changed the forecast that morning), the bite was much better. Hard current running out of the north and using 12 oz lead didn't stop Gary Adaire, who not only got his limit but hurled over the rail a nice 6.5-lber to win the pool. It was a fun day , not many fisherman due to the bad forecast. Sometime you are better off getting up early and rechecking the forecast on NOAA. Best times are unplanned. Sea you at sea!
