Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 11 11 July 2019 Capt. Tom The weather forecast kept people away for the afternoon but we made our morning trip. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
Started catching Big Beautiful Sea Bass and a couple fluke. Finished up the day catching a few short Fluke but the wind and current made the drift too fast, didn't matter as everyone had their fill and a nice bag of fillets for dinner.
The Miss Belmar Princess is sailing daily for blues, stripers and sea bass from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. and every afternoon for fluke sea bass from 4 30 p. m. 8 30 p. m. The Royal Miss Belmar is sailing daily for fluke and sea bass from 7 30 a. m. 12 00 p. m.
Thursday Fishing Report July 11, 2019 Nice day until that south wind started cranking Caught some fish but the fishing slowed when the southerly came up Tomorrow winds go northwest and its gonna. be nice.
Most have captains meetings Friday evening, but those wishing to fish Saturday s Raritan Bay Anglers Fluke Tournament must check in at 8 tonight at the Moose Lodge in Perth Amboy. At Atlantic Highlands, Capt. Rob Semkewyc of the Sea Hunter reports Wednesday was his poorest trip for keepers in over a week though there were lots of shorts.
Yesterday was our slowest day with keepers in over a week. If you want to catch fish we can usually accommodate you, keep you busy reeling fish in and enjoying the day, and occasionally see a nice big keeper.
