Open Boat Monday we had a lite crowd today, it was a top 10 day on the water wise and the fishing continues to improve- Sy Hiller won the pool with on of his two keepers. 7 keepers and 50 shorts all I can say its getting better.
Cliff had one keeper on the morning trip and came back out for the afternoon to catch his daily limit (and the pool). The weather is finally getting nice so come make a trip and have some fun catching fluke.
FISHERMEN TUESDAYS REPORT After a few brief showers this morning the day actually turned out nice the Ocean was calm. Caught the end of the tide and didn't have much drift but the smaller fish were biting their heads off!
The Miss Belmar Princess is the largest, fastest and cleanest fishing boat in Belmar. With Miss Belmar s 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
Tomorrow looks very nice we are fishing And remember, the lighter the better with the jigs Ounce and a half is my favorite to work with And lighter leader . keep it light and simple, obviously as long as the conditions are good.
Posted on June 25, 2019 A stargazer surprise After not raising anything to a popper yesterday morning in the Manasquan surf, I switched to the Band of Anglers Dart Spin plastic (ith a metal blade at the rear) as it had produced fluke the last time I used it there. Vinny D AntoN tried Shark River after the early storms and rasised a couple of bass or blues, but went to the beach to release six small bass on his Chug Bug.
