Several very nice keeper fluke along with way to many 17 1 2 inch fish going back. Water temp up to 64, Sand eels in the area and were starting to read some bait life on the bottom. Bait was best once again but we did see more action for the first time on the Jigs. I would like to think the buck-tailing should be game on by this week coming!
The 49-inch fish was something he'd never seen before, so he put it in the live well of his Release Me and ran back to Raritan Marina in Hazlet where the black drum was weighed at 52 pounds before Roy revived it for the release at Great Gun Lighthouse. There weren't many entries during the first two days of the South Jersey Marina Shark Tournament in Cape May. Nicara weighed a 310-pound mako to take the lead Thursday, and Shady Lady had a 202-pound blue shark Friday.
SAT) This A. M we ran our open boat Sea Bass trip and our first drop we only saw a few keeper Sea Bass but did catch several Tog on it that were released. The last area we got what we needed for the boat to limit out with some Ling and porgys (released) too.
Today we had a charter for Adam and his friends for a day of Sea Bass fishing and the first drop we picked away at the keepers and a ton of shorts.
