    Capt. John Kolias, of Reel Fun at Twin Lights Marina in Highlands, will explain his fluke fishing tips at Tuesday night's meeting of the Salt Water Anglers of Bergen County at 8 p. m. in the American Legion, 33 West Passaic St,n Rochelle Park. The workshops at the Sedge Island Natural Resource Education Center, located off Island Beach State Park in Barnegat Bay, allow participants a fun and educational way to learn outdoor skills like bay fishing, crabbing and clamming, kayaking and salt marsh exploration.

    Tomorrow the forecast is good so we will be doing the morning Fluke trip then our Big Bass Special in the afternoon. If we catch the big stripers this week I will do it again next week.

    (SAT) Today we ran a charter for Larry and his friends for a day of Sea Bass and the fishing was very good. The first drop we saw a good blast of keepers coming over with a nice showing of big Ling too.

    While we await results from this weekend's Brett T. Bailey Mako Rodeo, here is the information from last weekend's Warriors or Warriors contest Dave Lesperance sent the following information about last weekend's Warriors for Warriors Charity Shark Tournament out of Manasquan Inlet.

    Tournament Prize Winners 1st Place Mako caught on Old Salty II - 193 pounds 2nd Place Mako caught on Blue Runner 156 pounds 1st Qualifying Mako weighed was caught on Dead Short- 152 pounds Thresher Calcutta was won by Uneffinbelievabil with a 442-pound thresher.

    Got pretty lumpy out there,tomorrow to so we wont start fluke fishing until Tuesday. It looks nice on tuesday so come down.

    Today, we had a tough day of angling and the fog and swell did not help at all. We ended up catching a few blues a drift and some we just picked at. It was hard to see the birds through the fog and the shallow waters and it had the fish not wanting to bite.

    The 10-fish bag limit season for sea bass concludes Sunday with no sign of diminished abundance. Striped bass have been hard to come by the last few days.

     It took a while to locate the Bass in a Foggy dreary ocean. But once on the Bass it was great fishing. The guys put an Over and Under limit in the boat and nailed a couple of Drum fish up to 75 lbs. The largest Bass weighed in at 43 lbs.
