Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing November 6 06 November 2017 Capt. Tom Not many people showed up but we were able to make our 3 4 day bottom fishing trip today. We are 3 4 day bottom fishing everyday for seabass porgies and blackfish leaving at 7 30 and returning between 2 30 and 3pm.
11 6 17 We apologize for the late cancellation on Saturday's trip the front that came through Friday night made the seas pretty nasty. That will be the last sea bass trip and after that the blackfish season will be open.
We caught the MONSTER BLUES up to 22 lbs again and had anywhere from a handful of fish, to up to 12 on at a time! With Miss Belmar s 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
The Jamaica II sails 12-hour sea bass trips at 5 a. m. Wed. -Fri. -- plus 14-hour runs at 3 a. m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Jim Hutchinson Sr. sent the following report for the Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association Black sea bass action is still good on the wrecks and reefs off the port of Beach Haven, the mahi and tuna are still offshore when conditions permit trips out there, but the annual striped bass migration has the captains anxiously awaiting their arrival.
We had the boat limit in two drifts with keepers (thats stripers 28 inches or bigger) and then played catch and release for the rest of the day. The only downfall was there weren't many slots(thats a striper 24 to 27-7 8) fish to take home, they were almost all 28 inches or bigger.
