Sea bass fishing was excellent with easy limits every trip and lots of nice fish in the mix. Our last trip was Tuesday due to some sloppy weather over the last couple days, and we decided to try for fluke and found them biting pretty good.
The fishing action for black sea bass on the inshore wrecks and reefs continues to be very good. The offshore bite has started with some nice tuna being boated already including some bigeyes over 200-pounds. In addition, there are reports of some big mako and thresher sharks in the area.
It was cooler on the water today and we made both morning and afternoon trips. The past few days the morning has been better then the afternoon but today we ended up with the same amount of keeper fluke on both trips.
The Ocean Explorer from Belmar reported another day of great sea bass fishing with lots of limits. I've had problems getting final results from last weekend's South Jersey Marina Shark Tournament in Cape May, and the Warriors Shark Tournament from Manasquan Inlet, but will post that information on my daily blog noted above.
June 15th, 2017 Fluke Sea Bass Charters This afternoon, we fished a bit further to the north than we had been fishing. Sailing every afternoon for fluke and sea bass from 4 30 p. m. 8 30 p. m. Had longtime regular Adam call me with a special request Was at the shore with his family and wanted his 4 year old Harrison to experience some striper livelining. What a great experience for me and my crew of 2 sons mating for Adam and his son, truly a family Experience.
Wednesdays Report Morning didn't start out the way I had planned, fish either moved or didn't want to co-operate. Kevin Smith took his final trip with us today after many years of being a good customer and I like to say a Friend, as he is headed to Florida on a new job.
