    Charlie Parker's Sienna Lee from Highlands took Saturday's Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament when Neil Pisane, also of Oceanport, boated a 10. For the longest three fluke total, Chris Baggot of Shark River Hills won with 60.

    Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 24 24 July 2016 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. We did not have as many shorts like in the morning but we ended up the afternoon trip with more keepers.

    Group of ladies fishing in the bow had 10 nice fish in the cooler along with another 6 plus pounder on the rack today. My buddy Chris V brought a first time Salt water fishermen out with him today, they put some nice fish in the box and I think I may have a New customer!

    Spro gulps rigs accounted for most of the larger fish today. Tom Hollywood Jr., Staten Island, NY, just beat out Dennis O'Brien, South Bound Brook, NJ, for the pool with a fish around 5 pounds.

    Todays pool winner was Jermaine Potter Trenton, NJ with a 7 pound 10 ounce Fluke (not in July monthly) Limits recently Alex Pilewski up to 5 pounds Eric Lebrun limit to 5 lbs Ed Nolan Manasquan, NJ limit to 6 pounds Carson Wendall Bristol, Pa limit to 7 pounds 7. 6 pounds still leads the monthly pool but a number of fish bigger have been caught the past two weeks they just have not been entered Bucktailers still producing best but rental rods are doing well also especially since we use Gulp baits on the rentals.

    Though there were still hits on every drop, everyone aboard had full coolers before Joseph tried drifting for fluke and sea bass on rough bottoms. Surprisingly, there wasn't a single fluke (not even a short) -- but we fell just one sea bass short of a boat limit at the current two per man to conclude a great day of fishing.
