    Boat limits were a daily occurrence during the first couple weeks of August, with lots of nice fish in the mix. Also, some really nice sea bass have shown up over the last week, and we've been getting our two fish per person limit of them just about every trip with some nice ones to 3 pounds going in the box.

    Capt. Stan Zagleski had a similar trip Tuesday with his Elaine B. II from Bahrs in Highlands his fares worked hard for some fluke and lots of sea bass until they finally got some wind and movement later in the morning. The Jamaica from Brielle sent in a late report on Tuesday after they moved out near the Mud Hole for lots of chumming action with blues, bonito, chub mackerel and a few sea bass.

    Had absolutely no conditions most of the day so casting around worked well. Sunday was a little bit slower with a very fast drift so we fished close to the beach and had good short life all day with a few keepers mixed in all on bait.

    Put the spread out while we looked around Got covered up with skippies and albies, but had the right readings with them. Started jigging and chunking and Greg hooks up to a nice 35# yft immediately on a jig. Kyle was next and landed his first tuna ever right around 50#.

    Atlantic Highlandfs fluke fishing August 22 22 August 2017 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today and the fishing was a little better. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm) in Sandy Hook and Raritan Bays.
