Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing Auguat 11 11 August 2018 Capt. Tom I guess due to the weather forecast only a few people showed up to go fishing but we made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the afternoon trip we had some on and off drizzle but not enough to make the people stop fishing.
Flat calm and beautiful out there today,got a few sprinkles late in the day but not much at all Fishing was very good to us again today,fish were flying over the rail all day long Hot Dog Tony had a double limit of nice fluke before 11am today. Other caught limit as well but it was good to see so many fish coming up Large numbers of just miss fish in the 16-17 inch range along with the keepers mixed in Every where we tried had great life and it was all shallow Best range was 25-30 feet .
We were able to jig a few blues right off the beach, then drifted over the rocky bottom and mussel beds for some nice sea bass!Sailing daily for Stripers Blues from 7 30 A. M. 2 30 P. M. and every afternoon for Fluke Sea Bass from 4 30 P. M. 8 30 P. M. Join us as we bottom fish and mammal watch and then catch the most stunning sunset on the ride home.
Hey gang we had a very good day despite the weather with multiple limits on big sea bass and had several flukes from 6 to 7lbs We fished off shore today with happy customers and some family members. I will see you all on Monday for Senior Day.
