Atlantic Highlands stripe bass fishing April 22 22 April 2019 Capt. Tom The rain kept the people away for the afternoon trip but we did make the morning trip. We are half day fishing for stripe bass everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
The next brainstorm was we will see what happens on the outgoing, hoping the bite would turn on we worked our way back to where I read most of the bait throughout the day. Had a good outgoing, read the fish but again the bite never turned on.

The Miss Belmar Princess is the largest, fastest and cleanest fishing boat in Belmar. With Miss Belmar s 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
Posted on April 21, 2019 Red drum could have been a NJ catch 100 years ago Rich Swisstack (see photo below) has been into a surf bite of big red drum at Cape Point, Hatteras, N. C., but a century ago those same fish were being caught along the central N. J. Shore where channel bass fishing in the Barnegat Inlet area was the best in the country and those fish were the primary inshore game species for N. J. anglers. Striped bass are now the primary inshore game fish, and that fishing should resume tomorrow, after the Easter break, in Raritan Bay.
