Atlantic Highlands blackfishing December 6 06 December 2016 Capt. Tom The weather forecast scared most of the people away again today but we made our 3 4 day blackfishing trip. We are fishing everyday (weather permitting) for blackfish leaving at 7 30 am and returning between 2 30 and 3pm.
As soon as we came tight on the anchors, we had some nice life with keepers and shorts coming into the boat. Bite backed off a bit and we would get flurries of fish for the remainder of the day. Wound up with our boat limit of 24 for the day with fish to 7 lbs
Jerry Lasko of Point Pleasant had been doing well with small stripers in the surf before daylight. The Jamaica from Brielle had another big catch of jumbo sea bass and porgies plus a few bluefish on Sunday's offshore wreck trip.
