Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 12 12 August 2018 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again and it was a really nice day. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
We ran offshore of Shark River Inlet and anchored up and started the day with excellent mackerel fishing, with some sea bass and ling mixed in. With Miss Belmar s 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day, and we guarantee it.
The action was constant with fish under 18 inches but the 18 inches and above were far and few between, We had people from the State division of fish and game on the boat today and they single out a couple people and measured and counted the fluke they caught . The Fluke are around so if your looking to have some fun, we are fishing daily, Luckily for us some people don't pay attention to the weathermen.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing Auguat 11 11 August 2018 Capt. Tom I guess due to the weather forecast only a few people showed up to go fishing but we made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the afternoon trip we had some on and off drizzle but not enough to make the people stop fishing.
Flat calm and beautiful out there today, got a few sprinkles late in the day but not much at all Fishing was very good to us again today, fish were flying over the rail all day long Hot Dog Tony had a double limit of nice fluke before 11am today. Other caught limit as well but it was good to see so many fish coming up Large numbers of just miss fish in the 16-17 inch range along with the keepers mixed in Every where we tried had great life and it was all shallow Best range was 25-30 feet .
