11-5-16 Nice out there today, fishing was very picky, some guys did well with 3-4 keeper bass and if you fished way up off the bottom you got some really jumbo porgies, problem today was the big bluefish were crushing alot of the fish on the way up so it hurt our catch but it was still a fun day out there. here are a few pics of some of the bigger fish we caught today.
Many many limits of Seabass, some Porgy limits and today numerous Flounder limits along with all the other fish. Some anglers with sore arms from cranking in fish Dave Tootchen, Phila, Pa. limit Seabass and flounders and 31 big PorgiesWes Shourt Manahawkin, NJ limit Seabass and Flounder and 38 PorgiesLafeyette McGaskill Camden, NJ limit Seabass and 32 PorgiesDave Thomas Paterson NJ limit Seabass and Flounder and 40 Porgies Full coolers for mostly everybody Few more names with limits Dave Nelson, Young Park Howell, NJ, John Weaver Phila, Pa Bob Plasket Medford NJ and many more Cant ask for better fishing than this - freezer filling time before those cold winter winds arrive.
The first drop we had just a few keepers and fair short life, it was not fast enough so we made a move and it was the right decision. The charter had a full boat limit plus threw back a few N. Y keepers.
Boats were driving the fish down, but he did get in one good drift that produced keepers. Capt. Rob Semkewyc found bass on top right away with his Sea Hunter, but other boats put them down -- and the fish moved fast after that, He only got in two good drifts that produced several keepers.
After I saw all the boats that were out today I knew it was not going to be a easy day. I was lucky enough to find some birds on hungry Stripers but only managed to get two drift on them before the armada of boats came charging in.
November 4th, 2016 Today, we had good fishing first thing in the morning with stripers up to 30 lbs. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
