Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. Again we picked at shorts and had some keepers.
Capt. Ron Sr. started the day off with the first fish in the boat and a beauty at 6 pounds! A nice SE breeze came up so we changed locations and had much better fishing the rest of the day.
We had a slow start but a very good finish to the day.
We caught some shorts everywhere but not many keepers. Just before we had to go home we started to drift and we picked shorts with some keepers. On the afternoon trip we had a cool breeze that gave a nice drift. We had plenty of action all afternoon with shorts and some keepers mixed in.
We seen a little improvement in the Fluke fishing the past 2 days. We had some good size fish coming up yesterday morning ranging from 5-8lbs. Last year at this time we started catching the little Blues so hopefully by this weekend we start catching some.
It was a little toasty in the morning but the wind picked up around noon and made it very nice. The wind was against the tide of course. A couple guys did manage the limit while other caught only shorts.
