Latest NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports

  • 2017-11-24 Ristori Bay Head

After striper fishing went dead for most in the Raritan Bay area on Thanksgiving, the Sea Hunter from Atlantic Highlands reported it bounced back today with birds over mixed-size bass up to the 17. Though party boat striper fishing was poor on Thanksgiving, I did hear of some good catches in bunker schools by charter boats that day.

We have had better days,if you had two keepers today you were doing good.  The Togs were not in the mood. Tomorrow is another day though, weather looks good and we should see a better chew.

Thank you guys for your long time support! It was a slow grind on the troll to put their catch together with crazy boat traffic.
  • 2017-11-23 Dorothy B Atlantic Highlands

WE ARE NOT SAILING TODAY Monday's charter had a disappointing trip with only a couple of stripers landed and very little action. One lady angler release 31 stripers and was exhausted by the end of the trip.

Nice day on the Blackfish grounds!   We picked at a few nice size Blackfish today up to 8lbs. Lots of swinging and missing going on today. Some anglers were locked in and were able to get 3-5 keepers and some just had short life. Fish bit on both green and white crabs.

There were lots of boats on the water Thanksgiving morning, but reports were generally poor. I didn't see any great surf reports Thanksgiving morning, but managed to catch a small striper on my first cast for the second day in a row at a southern Monmouth County beach.

This was without a doubt the worst Thanksgiving day trip Ive ever had. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
  • 2017-11-23 Miss Belmar Belmar

Today, it was a tough day. We had a great bunch of people onboard, however, the fish didn't cooperate. We ended the day with a handful of fish. We read them at times but they just didn't want to bite. It was a very slow day.
