I know today with the internet information is almost instantaneous and people see a bad day and they wait for a good report. Back in the old days you got your report usually on a Friday in the newspaper and that was it So if you wanted to go fishing you just went, not knowing what to expect.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing December 3 03 December 2017 Capt. Tom Made our 3 4 day trip for blackfish again today. We are 3 4 day fishing everyday for blackfish leaving at 7 30 am and returning between 2 30 and 3 pm (weather permitting).
I picked away at Sea Girt this morning, and ended up with seven small striper releases on the Tsunami Sand Eel and Castaways Super Teaser. Vinny D'Anton and Frank Manzi got into a blitz of small bass in the evening on Mirr-O-Lures north of where I had been picking at them in the morning.
Today started like yesterday there was plenty of birds up close to home but the boat traffic killed it. I headed back close to home for the change of tide and as I hoped there were a couple areas of fish in jersey waters .
