The surf is about the same with good numbers of kingfish being caught, a lot of fluke (mostly shorts) at The Point, and some spike weakfish.
Not the Hot action of yesterday but a good steady pic of shorts and keepers today. Tanya and her Dad were out yesterday and Dad had the hot hand with the keepers while Tanya, had shorts and a whole bunch of missed hits.
The guys and gals worked hard and were able to put some nice fish in the coolers to show for their efforts. Long time EB II regular Al Waranis, Trenton, NJ, celebrated his 93rd birthday fishing with a bunch of his EB II friends today and was able to take a couple of nice fish home for dinner.
Fishing was poor during the contest period as relatively small tuna caught the first day ended up winning a lot of money. Capt. Ron Santee reported good fluke action from his Fishermen out of Atlantic Highlands, but there weren't as many keepers and big fish as on Monday.
