Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing October 18 18 October 2016 Capt. Tom Made our 3 4 day bottom fishing trip today and the fishing was better then yesterday. We are bottom fishing everyday leaving at 7 30 am and returning between 2 30 and 3pm.

The boys managed 32 keepers with no problem and the fish were all 16 inches and better with a good amount of 15 inch fish released there were also some nice Triggers and jumbo Sea Bass too. The clock is ticking away now and need to get on the fish so we made another move and got anchored up, the fish started to bite a little for us and we picked away for the rest of the day The charter wound up with 22 keepers there was a good amount of 15 inch fish that were released.
Tony Arcabascio is happy to report the first 50-pound striper reported locally since the spring was boated Sunday on his 4 Tony Maja bunker spoon trolled by Capt. Ken Gallop of Big Kid from Brielle Yacht Club. Capt. Joe Bogan can't wait for the sea bass season to open on Saturday, when he'll run an extended open trip at 5 a. m. with his Jamaica II from Brielle.
