07 10 2016 Paul had the Mike Lewis Clan on board today for their annual fishing charter. When Mike crew put 50 Ling on ice plus a Legal boat limit of Seabass we called it a day and were back at the dock by 1PM.
July 10, 2016 7-10-16 Today was a slower day of fishing, We had some nice keepers come aboard but not enough to go around the rail, it could have been better, we moved around and tried different depths, some areas were more active with keepers . We will be fishing for the fluke we did not catch today, see you in the morning, we leave at 7 30 am.
The proud angler today was none other than Danielle O'Brien, South Bound Brook, who just set the EB II mark for women flukers of 13 POUNDS 1 OUNCE a couple of weeks ago. Today's fish was 10 POUNDS 2 OUNCES and was her second of the year, and also her second ever!
Catching even a single doormat fluke in a lifetime is an accomplishment for most fluke anglers, but Danielle O'Brien of South Bound Brook is well on her way to becoming among the best female flukers in history as she boated her second of the season today on Elaine B. II from Bahrs in Highlands. Other large river fluke were a 4 3 16-pounder by Charles Wardell, and a 4 5 16-pounder for Charlie Lemaire.
