On our Saturday afternoon porgy sea bass trip we had a nice crowd of great people.
Capt. Ron Santee said fluking on his Fishermen from Atlantic Highlands was picky today, but another big fluke (8 3 8 pounds) took the pool. There was only a little swell today which made the fluke more aggressive for the guys and gals who worked both the natural baits as well as the Gulps and or Spros.
8-14-17 Again very good conditions today,had a great drift and banged away at nice keeper fluke. See ya then,but in the mean time check out some of these quality fish from today,Seasonal pool is now up to 3800 bucks!!
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 13 13 August 2017 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today and it was pretty much the same as yesterday. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
August 13th, 2017 Fluke Sea Bass Charters On this afternoons trip, we continued to have great fishing with nice jumbo sea bass, along with some nice fluke mixed in, and an occasional ling. OUR AFTERNOON TRIPS SAIL DAILY FOR FLUKE AND SEA BASS FROM 4 30 P. M. 8 30 P. M. JOIN US AS WE BOTTOM FISH AND MAMMAL WATCH AND THEN CATCH THE MOST STUNNING SUNSET THAT WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY.
Doormat fluke have been scarce this season, but that's what it took to win Saturday's Salt Water Anglers of Bergen County Fluke Tournament. The SWABC posted the following Salt Water Anglers of Bergen County, New Jersey The winners of the Salt Water Anglers of Bergen County 2017 Fluke Tournament are as follows 1st- Mike Menzel, Steve Liberty, Don Liberty, Ed Codding 2nd- Jeff Crilly, Scott Crilly, Sean Smida, Lou Derosa, Bob Hryszko 3rd- Bob Cameron First place was 25 pounds for three fish Second-place was 23.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 12 12 August 2017 Capt. Tom The weatherman kept most of the people away but we made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the afternoon trip the short action was better then the morning but not as many keepers.
