We caught some really nice sea bass again today as you can see in some of the pics. It was not as fast as the past two days,more moving around for me to keep everyone in fish,,the current was running hard out of the east and it kept the fish close to the bottom but we got it done and everyone went home with a nice catch including limits of sea bass and nice ling mixed in.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing June 3 03 June 2016 Capt. Tom We have been making both morning and afternoon trips the past few days. Yesterday the morning trip was better and today we caught more fluke on the afternoon trip.
With migrating stripers feeding on bunkers in the ocean, there should be good action for anglers fishing in Saturday's Hi-Mar Striper Club Spring Striped Bass Tournament with weigh-ins at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Marina. Capt. Bob Egger put Mark Faller of Toms River into a bass limit in 1 1 2 hours this morning on Spunky II out of Manasquan Inlet with bunkers, releasing all but one before blues moved in.
