EXCELLENT PORGY FISHING CONTINUES! Lots of Porgys came up once again the past 2 days! Some bigger ones were caught today!

Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing October 4 04 October 2017 Capt. Tom We have been both morning and afternoon trips everyday and catching porgies. We are half day fishing for porgies everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).

The surf was rough this morning, but Vinny D'Anton of Wall released a 24-inch striper that hit a Chug Bug at Belmar, and Joe Melillo at Castaways Tackle in Point Pleasant reported a few bass are being caught in the local surf on metal. The Seaside Park tackle shops are reporting small blues in the surf, with a few bass among them.

Fishing continues to be very good. The past several days have produced some of the largest Porgies I have ever seen in this area!
