10 14 16 On SATURDAY AND SUNDAY we will be fishing for BLACKFISH at the usual 7 00 AM where everyone can keep a big fish for dinner and then catch and release the rest. Fun fishing and a great way to keep your togging skills sharp until the season opens in November!!
Miss Belmar Princess marked lots of blues during a rough trip in the gusty north wind. Allen Riley sent along a Wednesday surf report from Frank Huza of Aberdeen who took the long walk to the tip of Sandy Hook where he saw about 15 tunny caught around 8 a. m. Huza caught two of about 3 and 6 pounds by blind casting a Manno 1-ounce Silver jig -- and saw something amazing -- a small dolphin (fish) chasing bait at his feet.
We have been the only boat out of Belmar the past couple of days fishing for blues and hopefully they will stay here for a while. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
