Kinda rough out there yesterday, suprising ground swell from something offshore, but we did manage to catch some nice Codfish, big Ling and some left over Porgies and Seabass. Overall most all went home with some nice meat considering the weather. Needless to say, there were no boat reports Sunday with gale warnings posted and early rain. Betty Nick's in Seaside Park did have a report that was probably from Saturday of a 30-inch striper on an SP Minnow by Lou De Fontney -- plus reports of short bass.
The first drop we saw nice keepers coming up with a good amount of just short fish as well. The second drop we got anchored up and the hounds of hell were all over us, they did back off and then the Tog came out to play. Joey C was high hook today with 10 keepers(orl) and Andrew had 5(orl) and everyone had at least a limit.

January 8, 2016 1-8-16 We had a pick-pick day of fishing , The togs were finicky today, you had to work at it to bring the togs over the rail, The white legger crabs gave you the most action. Capt. Stan Zagleski said anchoring his Elaine B II from Bahrs in Highlands was difficult Thursday due to a lack of wind and current, but his fares caught from a couple up to 4-tog limits. I fished the Sea Girt surf at dusk Thursday with a similar lack of results, and the Seaside Park tackle shops had no reports today.
