With the conditions the same as yesterday, we decided to fish down the beach again. Capt. Dan is starting to see more Bass each night now, last nights trip produced 14 fish between the keepers and Shorts in all that wind!
The Jamaica from Brielle reported catching some small blues outside the inlet this morning before moving to a school of bunkers that had stripers up to 40 pounds under it. That was in contrast to Thursday when only a few small blues were picked before a last effort at stripers produced a school of bass under bunkers that resulted in a catch of linesiders to 40 pounds on bunkers, Crocs, and the new Run-Off Casting Mo-Jo.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing June 10 10 June 2016 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip it was still a bit windy and we only could fish in one area of Sandy Hook bay due to the drifting conditions but we picked at the shorts and ended up with some keepers.
FRIDAY, 6 10 UPDATE Beautiful day and fair amount of anglers aboard on the AM trip and don't you know it, the fishing was not that great. Conditions were not the best where we wanted to fish, went out into the ocean, flat calm with a good drift, but alas no keeper fluke.
