The Jamaica from Brielle had great action today with bonito from 3 to 6 pounds plus blues from 2 to 5 pounds -- and added some Spanish mackerel. The Big Mohawk from Belmar had OK fluking as there were many 3-to-5-pounders and limit catches.
Good Summer Action Friday, August 11, 2017 We had another very productive week with limit catches of Porgies and Seabass for most patrons throw in some nice Fluke and Triggerfish and you have a great catch. This action should hold up for a few more weeks, so come on down while the weather is nice.
Got a few skippies and albies right away and then had a double of the right bites. Continued to pound away at the area all day with a pick of yellowfins to around 60# with plenty of skippies and allies keeping the rods bent.

Griffin's 86-pound white marlin looked like a good bet to win the big money at the White Marlin Open in Ocean City, Md., but on the last day of the contest that white was clearly beaten when Wire Nut from Annapolis, Md. weighed a 95. There was little change otherwise as no blue marlin big enough to weigh could be caught -- though there was finally a dolphin on the board.
