    Still we picked some each drift along with some nice sea bass again but overall slow today. The ocean calmed down nicely by afternoon and tomorrow is shaping up to be nice!!

    Fishing Charters Posted 30 Aug, 2016 By Capt. Don Had good Fluke fishing with Frank and the guys they boxed a bunch of Fluke to 7. 5 pounds most keepers didn't have to be measure all over 20 as well as plenty of short Fluke and keeper Seabass to keep us busy lately.

    Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 30 30 August 2016 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip we tried different areas and only caught some shorts and only a few keepers.

    Moe had a beauty at Six Plus pounds and a few other very nice fish along with the Sea Bass. Rich M had 3 good sized Fluke along with a couple nice Sea Bass.

    The driftless days we would stay around structure, and we seem to pull a lot of nice fish from that area. The fishing has slowed up a bit, Saturday afternoon was the last real good day.

    There was also some nice Sea Bass too to add to the cooler. We saw a nice mixed bag coming up of mostly ling, one Cod,One pollack, one Whiting, Tog Sea Bass.

    Big swells are usually bad news for ocean bottom fishing, and today was no exception to that rule for Capt. Hans Kaspersetz while hosting Tank Matraxia's party from Lyndhurst for a half-day trip on Sheri Berri from Twin Lights Marina in Highlands. Kaspersetz worked rough bottoms east of Sandy Hook that had been producing for him, but it was a tough pick today as five fluke were boated along with two sea bass and a ling while Matraxia placed American Littoral Society tags into 15 of the short fluke.

    8-29-16 We headed back offshore to where we left em yesterday and had fish coming right away. Some real nice quality fish at that,picked away all day and ended up with a nice catch of nice fluke and some really nice sea bass as well.
