Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing October 25 25 October 2017 Capt. Tom We did not fish yesterday due to the strong winds that made the ocean rough. We thought the ocean would be still rough today even though the wind was supposed to diminish.
Sailing daily from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. for blues and stripers. With Miss Belmar s 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
The NW wind never blew very much, but It's supposed to be stronger on Thursday -- which should help knock the swell down and clear the waters. Capt. Chris Di Stefano of Wall didn't get a striper report, but one friend had a good little tunny bite in Sandy Hook Channel.

Capt. Chris De Stefano of Wall reported that Frank Criscola ended up trolling to the south in 50 feet on Monday afternoon with his Crisdel from Brielle Yacht Club to boat their only bass of the day -- a 41-pounder. Bob Matthews, at Fisherman's Den in Belmar, noted the sea bass catches made by bottom boats during Sunday's opener, as well as some large stripers trolled and small ones in the surf
