The Ocean was good to the SEA STAR III this week, when the wind was not blowing and we could fish there.

    Hey folks, we started out the day today with good action and some keepers then the tide changed and we had wind against again for the rest of the morning. Captain Jimmy covered ground for us again today and we found a drift towards thevend of the day.

    The guys that bucktailed caught a lot more then the bait guys because of the wind against tide conditions we have had the last 4 days. Good thing about this week is the conditions will be right and we should have no problem drifting so come on down the fishing should be good.

    There may not be many anglers still seeking them, and they do take a lot of dedication to find and tempt, but striped bass continue to flourish in the warm summer waters of NY NJ Bight. Bob Matthews reports from Fisherman's Den in Belmar Marina that ocean fluking remained good over the weekend, and some dolphin up to 15 pounds were found not too far offshore.

We have had a steady pick of Seabass on most of the last few trips other days have been a grind but non one has gotten skunked.

    August 18th, 2014 This morning, it was very slow with keeper fluke, but we had a lot of action on shorts. We did manage to catch a couple keeper fluke and some shorts.

    Around midday we netted his 13 POUND 2 OUNCE fish which was his biggest ever and the SECOND LARGEST fluke ever caught aboard the EBII!!Good conditions next few days so lets who will be next to catch their personal best fluke.

    Updated 08 18 14The heavy rain storm slowed our fishing down for a couple days but everything has calmed down and the Fluke are biting again. Our pools have been won by 4 to 6 pound Fluke.

    Last we have Downtown Jordon Brown of Manahawkin, NJ, who won with a nice 4-lb fluke, and a special winner was Macy Ryan (10 years old), who took everyone's money on a fluke trip Sat evening with the BHM TC, it was a 4. I would like to thank Patty from Anexinet, it again was a outstanding trip, fishing was good but the catching was slow, the weather couldn't get any better and everyone had a blast, hope to see you again next year, thanks, Patty.

    Some very nice fish today!Finished up with a nice float and a good short of shorts and keepers, some beauties including 3 caught by Joe Andrew, Woodland Park, N. J. Joe's largest took today's pool at 8 pounds on the money!
