May 18 --AM PM BASS Thursday, 19 May 2016 23 46 Written by Capt. Derek AM- This mornings open boat trip saw good fishing with the guys landing 10 keeper sized bass to 25 lbs and some blues (only keeping legal limit).
Bluefish have been more abundant than ever at this time of year when Shore party boats often struggle while Raritan Bay anglers have to fight them off in order to get through to a striper. Even Pete La Boy, who had caught all three stripers during the previous week's trip couldn't get through the blues -- but when Woerner moved up the Hudson River, La Boy boated the only two bass up to about 18 pounds.
Miss Belmar t-shirts are in both long and short sleeves in black, indigo blue, white, charcoal grey and light grey for adults. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
