The first couple of stops we had some nice keepers, Mid morning the drift slowed, We decided to go rock hopping, we had action from keeper fluke and sea bass, around noon time the drift picked up, we had a nice breeze, the action picked up again we had keeper and short fluke all around the boat. Overall it was a decent day with keeper fluke and sea bass in the coolers.
The Jamaica from Brielle is touting the afternoon fishing fun and fireworks trips that are producing fluke, sea bass and chub mackerel before viewing the fireworks at Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant Beach. I used Gulp for fluke in the Bay Head surf this morning, but most of the hits came from eight small sun dials.
Last night we had a great drift, slightly too fast but great non the less. Fishing however was slow, we picked away at fish all night and scrapped together a decent catch, considering the way nights have been.
