Bob Correll of Bay Head had been frustrated by two previous evenings without a hit despite being able to snag plenty of bunkers for bait, but that changed Thursday evening when Capt. Joe Massa of My III Sons at Morgan Marina and I joined him aboard his Boston Whaler out of Manasquan Inlet. Capt. Ron Santee Sr. was aboard today to limit up to a 9 1 16-pounder that wasn't even the largest of the day as Jim Gebhardt boated a 9 3 8-pounder.
Jun 17 2016 6 16 FLUKE REPORT - Good fishing again NEXT OPEN BOAT TRIPS TONIGHT FRIDAY 6 17 at 5PM TO 9PM SATURDAY 6 18 SUNDAY 6 19 FATHERS DAY AT 7 30AM TO 2 30PM Thursday 6 16- Yesterday we were out with the Capt. Frank's charter and had good fishing with Fluke up to 6lbs. The last couple of evenings we have not had good drifting conditions and only have been able to catch a few keepers along with some shorts.
Fishing was good this spring, but over the last couple trips, the keeper ratio is definitely drying up after a few weeks of hard fishing. We ran our first fluke trip on Wednesday, and fishing was good!
