    The Cock Robin from Point Pleasant made it's first trip of the season today, but encountered mostly smallish blues -- though a 15-pounder took the pool. Several bass blew up on our bunkers and knocked them out of the water -- but wouldn't eat them.

    The 2014 fluke opener turned out nicely for the nice gang we had onboard today with AL WARANIS BAGGING THE FIRST NJ PARTY BOAT LIMIT BY 11 AM!!!Greg Barnett, Trenton, NJ and Wayne Pinder, Red Bank, NJ, ended the day with four keepers each, Jim Lohse, Union, NJ had three and there were a bunch of other keepers spread around the boat.

    Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing May 23 23 May 2014 Capt. Tom We made both morning and afternoon trips today from the Atlantic Highlands marina. On the morning trip we had better conditions and the fishing was better.

    A very slow start today But a very good finish to the day We caught everything today Blackfish Seabass we had a half dozen big Drum fish from 40 to 80 lbs that we got to the boat and released And we had Blues and yes we had the Stripers I was very happy hopefully we can do it again tomorrow I will try to get some pics up my computer is still down I am doing this off my phone.     drift and some fog, that did not bother the fluke, because at our first drop, Mike Ostermann from Pa. brought over the rail a 5 lb. Other keeper fluke were also brought over the rail by the group.
