Capt. Ron Santee got off to a good start on his first fluke trip of the season with the Fishermen from Atlantic Highlands on Monday as Nate Chudy of Flemington took the seasonal pool lead right away with a 6 1 2-pound fluke, while Elisa Arnoldy of Hopatcong had the first limit out of seven legal fluke. Capt. Hans Kaspersetz took his former Presidential Billfish Tournament partner Ed Arnold of Dallas out for stripers Monday afternoon on Sheri Berri from Baker's Marina on the Bay in Highlands.

Lots of sea bass coming up on most spots,just had to weed through the shorts to get some keepers. High hooks had a limit,some had 5,6,or 7 and some were just cursed with the shorts for some reason and had not much to show but overall I was happy with the amount of life we had.
