Though there wasn't any wild surface action today in Raritan Bay, bluefishing was still pretty good. Prowler 5 had mostly shorts both in the bay and ocean, with a high hook of three fluke, but the Monday magic hours trip produced the boat's largest so far -- an 8 1.
The rain all Sunday night didn't help but our last drift of the day was the best one so we will start there tomorrow and the weather looks great. Few pictures of today on our Facebook.
we had a few good shots of Blues in the morning on the jigs, I tried a couple bass drops with the bait. Made one last move and had another good shot of Blues before we came in.
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing May 30 30 May 2016 Capt. Tom Well the weatherman really made a big mistake with his forecast for today. Today the afternoon trip was much better then the morning trip.
Unfortunately Dave had to miss the day due to a bad ankle injury, but his sympathetic friends were more than willing to fish without him. At the end of the day we had gone 6 for 7 on the Bass.
Rick won the pool with a 6 lb fluke to go along with 1 other keeper. Big improvement in the fishing with over 20 keepers and lots of very close shorts.
Memorial Day Weekend Wrap Up We had some action on our morning trips this weekend with some keepers and short Fluke coming up. We picked a few Blues Friday night.
