We have been catching fluke on every trip some trips better then others of course depending on conditions.
After catching a 10 pound 5 ounce doormat with us last week Mike Schmidt, Cranford, NJ, fished again today and put his skills to work by catching several keepers including another 9 POUND 7 OUNCE NEAR-MAT!!Danielle O'Brien, South Bound Brook, NJ, was happy with her limit which included fish of 4 pounds 6 ounces, 5 pounds 3 ounces and 6 pounds 5 ounces.
6-14-15 And another beautiful day, flat calm all day. Drifting early in the day with a nice light drift and we picked at the sea bass,,not good but still we had fish coming up. Kept moving around all day and high hooks ended up having 8 keepers sea bass, and some ling. Some had 4-5,some only -1-2 and some did not get into any keepers,A mixed bag all around,,so in the end maybe for a small crowd I could say we did good but I could not get everyone into fish,,Still a nice day out and I am glad for those that had some nice fish for dinner. .Tomorrow I like the forecast and we are gonna sea bass fish a few more days until I decide to switch to fluke,,still have some spots I would like to polish off so see ya tomorrow for coffee!!!!
LBI Fishing Report 6 14 2015 Sunday we tried several spots the best action was down around the inlet we had 8 shorts and one keeper fluke and a 5 pound bluefish. Fluke fishing should improve over the next couple of weeks as water temperatures rise.
All the fish were caught today dragging bait because most of the day the drift was a little fast. The charter boxed up 12 keepers for the day (got one more after the pic) and also had a few cocktail Blues.
Seabass and some blues, nice fishing by Capt Ted White 14 June 2015 The seabass fishing is holding its own, you have to pick through the shorts and tog but we have been able to put together nice catches. We spent a little time on the seabass until the tide was right then moved to the inlet for a very good catch of 3-8lb blues on jigs.
