November 8, 2014 Saturday report Just a reminder , it has been our tradition to go black fishing on Thanksgiving Day from 7 00am to about 1 00 pm, you will be back in time to enjoy your Thanksgiving Dinner either turkey or black fish !!!Another fair day of sea bass fishing, we had to move around today, the short sea bass, have been keeping you busy at some drops also the blue fish and dog fish.
Surf reports were also bleak, but there was one positive report from Dave Lilly of Hazlet who got into loads of big bluefish in the middle of Raritan Bay while trolling Tony Maja bunker spoons. Vaughm Kelly beached a 29 3 8-pound striper on an SP Minnow in the park a couple of days ago.
We saw and read plenty of blues and stripers and saw them on top, unfortunately, they did not want to cooperate today. There are still plenty of stripers around and coming off the full moon the conditions should be better.
The winds will, however, diminish tonight making for a very nice fall weekend on the water. As such, we WILL put in time both days this weekend targeting tog on some of our fall spots before potentially moving on for something else later each day.
