finally some nice weather, and fishing by Capt Ted White 14 October 2015 After some time, the wind let up a little and we got a few trips in. Fished a few hours for mahi, landing 50, and a surprise 51 wahoo.
10-14-15 That was good again today,,some guys were dialed in and put a really nice catch of fish together. .Big flounders up to 4lbs. .nice shots of lings,,and some nice codfish in the mix as well. Some guys had all of the above and a cooler full. some guys struggled a bit but overall it was good fishing I thought with everyone onboard catching fish, just some guys were doing a little better than others,,keeping your rigs simple helps when fishing out there, and green gulps worked well today,,check out some pics. High hook had 3 keeper codfish,,two nice flounders and about 25 ling. . we are fishing again tomorrow. weather looks awesome again with west winds!!
Miss Belmar t-shirts are in both long and short sleeves in black, indigo blue, white, charcoal grey and light grey for adults. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
October 13, 2015 10-13-15 The fishing this morning started out to be a little slower, yesterday morning fishing was hotter, but as the day progressed, we moved around went offshore, and the porgies, sea bass, and black fish started again, to jump on our hooks. The sea bass were hungry today, we had to throw them all back, we will catch and keep them starting Oct. 22nd.
10-13-15 Another nice day,,got a little sporty in the afternoon but overall pretty decent out there. .saw some nice winter flounders today, few guys caught there limit,,few codfish, and some guys did with the ling again. High hook was hot,,had triple crown of about 15 ling, pool winning codfish and two winter flounder, some guys did struggle a bit for some reason but overall a good day out I thought. tomorrow looks good again with west winds,,gonna be a good day.
The recent reports from the Washington were better than our local canyons for tuna and we had some of our best trips of the entire offshore season down there and that is why we opted to make the long run south but it was not to be, so we ended up in the Baltimore which my latest chlorophyll and sea temp shots showed some good water just to the south of the canyon and out to 500 fathoms. It was just one long night for us in the Baltimore and one of the slowest tuna trips of the entire 2015 season.
