We rescheduled this Saturday's trip (5 2), but Sunday we took a ride on an open trip looking for some bluefish and found just that, SOME. We also were lucky enough to boat our first bass of the season on a AVA jig on Sunday also.
Once the tide started got back on the chunk, got 1 nice fish to 25lbs and that was it, very frustrating, once the tide Died went back on the troll. Dropped some fish and then Maureen had a 30 plusPounder get lost right before the net, damn!

A group of black drum can do great damage to an oyster bed in a single day Tackle and Rigs These are big powerful fish so you want to use medium to heavy tackle. A fish finder rig with beads on both sides on the main line tied to a barrel swivel connected to a short 80 mono leader with a snelled circle hook is the rig I like.
Ended the afternoon with only 5 keepers to around 24 lbs and a few blues. cmp shareicontextlink hover background url( static. ak. facebook. com images share facebook share icon. gif 6 26981) no-repeat 1px 1px ECEEF5 !
5-3-15 Another really nice day offshore,,the fish were in a good mood today and we had the net going as soon as I blew the horn,,it was actually pretty consistent most of the day with codfish coming up regularly. More shorts than keepers but in the end we did decent with some high hooks having 3-4 keeper Cods to go home with,,and some ling and pollock mixed in with them. Nice day overall,we are heading back out tomorrow.

On the afternoon trip the fishing was not as good only catching a couple of keeper stripe bass and a couple of blue fish.
