Atlantic Highlands Striped Bass fishing April 18 18 April 2015 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic highlands marina today. It was not a great day fishing but we managed to catch a couple of keepers on the afternoon trip.
Plenty of life on the bottom,,lots of perch bites. Decent day, cant say it was good fishing but we picked at some nice fish including another pool winning codfish that went up about 25lbs!!Really nice fish,so for tomorrow we are looking good. .Heading back out after some of these here pictured below.
Both days saw a couple of tog make the box, and both days(Monday in particular) saw enough cod for the box to give the guys a nice bag of fish to take home. Let's hope the weather forecast improves so we can get out there sooner than later!March 24 and 25, 2015Thanks to a decent weather window, we were able to fish the last couple days for cod and whatever else decided to bite.

Made a quick drop in the bait, no bites, I think it was too deep and the water temp was 49 degrees. Moved to some shallow water and found a few marks. Picked on the Shorts for awhile, all on the outgoing. Tom Krako landed the first keeper of the season taking his first pool after a LONG winter. Water temp 51-52 degrees.
