12-14-15 Besides the fog it was a pretty nice day,not a drop of rain like they were saying. Fishing started off pretty decent and Pauly had his limit of keeper Blackfish by 930. others picked at em and ended up with maybe3,4or 5, and then we started the drifting again due to the wind coming up against the current and the rest of the day we just picked a few here and there. we definately had our best fishing in the morning. .But overall a good day I thought. just some didnt have the fish dialed in like some others. .Tomorrow I like, hard west winds are gonna keep the ocean flat calm. We are not fishing far off the beach so its gonna be a good day tomorrow. See ya for coffee!!
That fishing was very good Friday, with many sea bass limits plus a 30-pound cod by Jack Karg of Little Egg Harbor. Saturday was slower, but there were still some sea bass limits plus an 11-pound pollock and a 9-pound cod.
We moved around fished at different depths, similar action at each spot, the togs again today were finicky and picky, you had to work at it , to get a keeper tog. Fishing could have been better. We had more action from the short togs.
We had a couple drifts that we picked at some fish but they were mostly Blues with a very odd Striper. The past few days that was happening around noon the fish were shutting down, But by then we had already had plenty of fish, But not today.
Fished several shallow areas where we have been catching recently but only a few fish. Went offshore with the rest of the fleet to find very little life on a few of our favorite spots to finish the day.
