8-29-16 We headed back offshore to where we left em yesterday and had fish coming right away. Some real nice quality fish at that,picked away all day and ended up with a nice catch of nice fluke and some really nice sea bass as well.

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 29 29 August 2016 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. We are catching fluke on both morning and afternoon trips but most of them are shorts.
Right from the get- go this morning, we had a pick at the keeper fluke, we picked at them all day. Some had their limits, others had four keeper fluke, some had less.
Seems the Buck-tail guys had the edge on the Fluke this weekend with the Bait guys catching more of the Beautiful Sea Bass that have been coming in. Nice Sea Bass Fluke for dinner tonight ladies.
Bill Merritt, Bound Brook, NJ, was VERY HAPPY with his day as he boated a 9 pound 7 ounce and a 7 pound 5 ounce beauty to go along with his seabass!Nice job Bill!!

8-28-16 We got offshore again and had a nice drift and picked away at some nice flukes,Fast Eddie took home the money again today with a fish just under 8lbs. but any way tomorrow we heading deep again after some nicer fish like today.
Matt Slobodjian at Jim's Tackle in Cape May reports as follows This week was just about the same as last week, a good number of keeper fluke on the reefs and the Old Grounds. In the next few weeks, if we get a good cold front, the mullet should start moving out of the back and get things going in the surf.
