Even with a faster drift, we had action with short fluke biting at some of our first morning stops, during the day in the mix we had nice keeper fluke with some bigger sea bass coming over the rail. Ed had his limit and had the pool winner of about 3 1 2 lbs, few other had 3 keepers and some had 1-2.
Our seasoned fishermen caught all they wanted and everyone, including the kids, all had a great time. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
SANDY HOOK TO MANASQUAN INLETOcean fluking has been up-and-down, but Shrewsbury Rocks and the Rattlesnake remain good areas to seek out larger fluke. POINT PLEASANT TO BARNEGAT INLETCanyon trolling has picked up, with good yellowfin tuna results in Hudson Canyon along with some albacore and an occasional bigeye or marlin -- plus dolphin.
