Nothing went searching, saw bluefin on the surface and trolled past them and had a nice 46 inch under on a canyon runner rainbow green machine spreader. Mike had bite a right away on a sardine and did a great job but lost him at boat side damn, fish was all of 60 inches!
Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 16 16 July 2016 Capt. Tom Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the afternoon trip we went back to the channel but the drift was too fast.
07 16 16 Very nice weekend weather with a good group of EB II weekend regulars. John Vanderstad, Pompton Lakes, NJ, had a good day and topped his catch with a nice 6 pound 5 ounce fish.
Capt. Bob Pisano's ashes were spread today into Mud Hole waters near the scene of his biggest triumphs with giant tuna as his wife Candi, relatives and many friends sailed offshore on the Fin-Ominal from Belmar Marina. He has another day to find the big one during Sunday's second day of the Sandy Hook Bay Anglers Fluke Tournament.
