Seems to me people are bringing tackle thats ok for 35 to 50 lb fish but we loose to many 70 pound or greater fish. There is no perfect size outfit to use out there but you should be able to handle 60 to 90 lb fish.
IF THE STORM TAKES ITS TOLL ON THE FLUKE, WE PLAN TO FISH FOR SOME PORGIES AND TRIGGERS. WE HAVE ALL AGREED UPON B7 WHICH WOULD GIVE US 1 FISH BETWEEN 24 AND 34 INCHES AND OUR NEXT FISH BEING 36 INCHES AND ABOVE.
September 24, 2014 Wednesday report Windy day today, faster drift, harder to hold bottom, fishing action could have been better, we had shorts and keeper fluke, not everybody had fish. Join us Saturday for the last day of fluke fishing for the season.
We started catching as we were anchoring up and we continued to catch 8-14 lb blues all day long, all around the boat, on both bait and jigs. Sailing daily for blues from 7 30 a. m. 2 30 p. m. and every Friday Saturday night from 7 30 p. m. 2 30 a. m. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it.
