Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 9 09 July 2016 Capt. Tom It wasn't the nicest day for July but we made both morning and afternoon trips again today. We are fluke fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12 30 and 1 30 to 6pm).
The wind was stronger, and gave us a faster drift, we did have keeper fluke come over the rail, tomorrow is looking like a better day. The fluke are still out there, we get them tomorrow, see you in the morning.
We are night fishing on Friday Saturday nights, where we catch Ling, Cod, and Flouder with a few blues in the mix. Night fishing is from 7 30pm to 12 30am, so pick a nice day night and come on down.
After two days of just a medium swell, the surf was somewhat rough for casting a light jig and Gulp to fluke, and I later found from an angler who made a few casts that it was also full of weed. Capt. Ron Santee found a big swell outside the bay, where he had done well with fluke the day before on his Fishermen from Atlantic Highlands.
